Building healthy marraiges
What does premarital counseling include?
Your Online Assessment: You will each be asked to complete the SYMBIS online assessment prior to your first session. This tool will provide valuable information regarding your relationship strengths and growth areas, individual personalities, and your families.
First Session: Your counselor will provide you with a printed copy of your assessment results and review them with you. During this session, she will also find out more about your unique relationship story and work with you to determine your goals for the remaining sessions. Please note: Our premarital package is intended for couples who want help in addressing typical relationship issues. Couples in crisis should request couple's counseling.
Sessions 2-4: Selah Therapy provides 3 additional personal sessions to address your specific needs/goals. (These are best scheduled as three separate appointments, but may be combined if necessary.) The goal is to help you make adjustments that lead toward a life-long, satisfying partnership. Specific areas that may be addressed include healthy priorities, communication skills, managing life stressors, conflict resolution, financial planning, sex, personality differences, and family issues. Additional sessions are available at your discretion.
